Brake fluid
Brake fluid
i am going to flush the brake lines on my 1958 special with manual brakes. the chassis service manual says to use "G.M. or Delco Super No. 11 Hydraulic Brake Fluid." i assume this fluid is no longer available... is DOT 3 a suitable substitute, or is there something more preferable?

Re: Brake fluid
how about DOT 5? i know there are pros & cons, but has anyone made the switch, and if so, what are your results?
also, for anyone who would like more information, here is a very informative article on brake fluids.
