Happy with chrome work

Postby chadboyle2000 » Fri Mar 21, 2008 12:29 pm

Hey guys I just wanted to take a second to plug a Local chroming shop here in Fort Wayne Indiana - I Just had the complete rear bumper re-chromed along with the fender "V"'s. As you all know those "V"s are pretty detailed and pot metal as well -they came out perfect! All the details are crisp and the chrome looks great. As far as the bumper goes the two bumper ends have no flaws and the chrome is perfect. The top center bar is almost perfect and I can live with the flaws - as a matter of fact he even knocked off $50. I had priced chrome work with others and this guy came in much lower. He's been in busy here for over 10 years and he always has plenty of work to do. The best part is he had my small stuff back within 2 weeks. Now I have heard a couple of people talk about some problems with his work but I personally have been happy with the price & the quality - If anybody is interested write me back and I can get you pictures of the work and a address & phone #.

Thanks,
Chad Boyle

Hi Chad,

How much did it cost to rechrome the fender V's? CARS, Inc has repros for $60.00 each and I was wondering if it would be cheaper to buy those for my Limited or rechrome the originals. I have a repro set of Limited trunk whiskers from CARS that look awsome, so their quality seems to be good.

Hi - the "V" were $30 a piece - now I think he might of cut me a slightly better deal because I had other stuff there, but as with most chromers he charges by the size -

Sounds good. Were your fender Vs pitted at all? Please post his contact info - I might want to send mine to him, and post a picture of your parts if you can.
