What COLOR are the rims supposed to be? In many of the pictures (including original sales brochures) there appears to be a thin RED line between the hubcap and the whitewall, leading me to believe the rims were painted red. I don't remember them being red on my first '58, which I bought back in 1975 (or any of the subsequent ones I've owned), but wanted to check. Can anyone enlighten me?

Mine are red (the entire wheel). I don't know if it was an option or not, though...or what models specifically had red wheels. I suppose it depended on color scheme, too? Hopefully someone on here knows what the heck they are talking about, instead of rambling like me

Adam - Thanks. This is helpful. Like I said, the original sales brochures all picture them as red, regardless of body color. However, if anyone knows different or has something to add, would appreciate. Brent
