This is the restoration of my Century 4 door hard top.
I'm doing this in Sri Lanka and every little part needed has to come from the USA !!
Wish me luck and let me know what you think as the restoration progresses.

Wow, you are ambitious! The rust on the rear window pillar is going to be hard to fix. I hate to discourage you, but if there is similar rust all over the car, it might be cheaper to buy one in better shape and have it shipped to Sri Lanka - you might check into this before sinking too much money into the one you have. However, if you can do the welding yourself that will save you a lot of money. Your only investment will be time and the cost of materials.

Hey guys,
Thanks for your comments.
I wish I could jut buy a better car or even a less rusty body and import it. Sadly neither of these is possible.
Here in Sri Lanka, we have a restriction on vehicle imports. No vehicle over 2.5 years old can be imported. Also car bodies can not be imported no matter how new or old they are.
So.... my only choice is to restore this one as it is the only 58 Buick in the country anyway.

Looks like you are making good progress. Can't wait to see the finished car.
