Paint and Trim Codes

Hi all,

I am just wanting to verify my thoughts on the paint and trim codes on my car. Here they are:

TRIM: 711

PAINT: 52

Can anyone verify what these codes are?

Trim code 711 = Blue Nylon Cloth and Blue Leather. Basically, a blue leather interior with blue nylon cloth inserts.

Paint Code 52 = This is a two tone code: 2= Blue Mist lucite, 5 = Polar Mist lucite. The first number of the code (5) is the color above the belt line (roof color), the second number (2) is the color below the belt line (body color). Your car originally had a polar mist roof and a blue mist body.

Let me know if I can help with other questions, I have a shop, body, and flight pitch tranny manual as well as a parts manual that lists all part numbers, and the dealer accessory manual that lists accessory part numbers, original prices, and installation times. I also just found an original dealer parts price guide that lists the prices of every single part on a '58 Buick. If anyone is curious to know how much a nut, bolt, or wonderbar radio cost back in 1958, let me know and I'll look it up.

Yep, I picked it up late last Sunday evening..

Ripped the seats out today...and vacuumed another 30 lbs of crap off the floors. I can actually see how much rot I have now.

The front seat was as heavy as the entire front clip of a Camaro!

What is the heater line dealie that goes under the front seat?

The heater dealie is the under seat heater. The theory of operation is the heater fan blows the heated air from under the dash, across the floor under the seat, to the back seat area. The air is re-warmed as it passes under the seat for the back seat passengers. Plus, it heats the front seat itself - nice on a cold day. Be sure to test this for leaks before running it with your new upholstery.
